VIDEO: Remembering Kalee Scolatti

As we head into Mother’s Day weekend all I can think about right now is how a fellow broadcaster, a college classmate, and most importantly- how a beautiful young mom was stolen from her young kids in such an act of senseless violence.

ABC-Fox Montana: Remembering Kalee Scolatti

ABC FOX Montana Local News, Weather, Sports KTMF | KWYB

From the piece:

Born and reared in Missoula, it was almost a forgone conclusion that Kalee would become a Grizzly. She entered the School of Journalism at UM and met another bright-eyed student named Angela Marshall.

She was a wonderful daughter, a supportive friend, an incredible mother, and she will be so desperately missed by all who were lucky enough to know her.

The New York Daily News also covered the story:

Kalee Scolatti, director at KTFM in Missoula, was killed along with a family friend in a double murder and attempted suicide in her home, police said.

A 36-year-old gunman came to her house Wednesday night and she called her friend Anthony Dupras, 46, for help.

When her friend arrived, the suspect shot both of them, and then shot himself in the head, police said.
