Liberal blogs are calling attention to US House candidate Ryan Zinke (R-Montana), a former state senator and commander at SEAL Team 6, after he reportedly referred to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton as “the anti-Christ.”

The Huffington Post, Slate, and other liberal publications are now picking up the story as well.

I caught up with Zinke Friday morning in Billings.  Here’s what he had to say:

“I’ve already been put on the Obama campaign enemy list- and they’re just gonna attack.  That’s all these people do is attack, attack, attack.”

Zinke, in a stump speech continued at the Pachyderm Club in Billings says truth, grace, and honor need to be restored in Washington.

“When you have a former Secretary of State that, and if you look at Gates’ book, she was willing to put the troops in harms way- against our kids- at risk for political purposes, to me that’s the face of evil…If we’re gonna go put our kids into harms way, then you gotta give them the tools to win.”

Here’s the original remarks as reported by The Bigfork Eagle:

Zinke said he wants to restore truth, grace, honor and decency, which he called “our moral compass. It’s always been Judeo-Christian,” he said. With the present administration, “It’s whatever you can get away with. I will never bow to pressure. I will do what’s right,” he said.

“We need to focus on the real enemy,” he said, referring to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, whom he called the “anti-Christ.”

By the way, Zinke was making the rounds with “American Sniper” author Scott McEwen.  “American Sniper” is the story of Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, known as the most lethal sniper in American history.

It was An honor to meet “American Sniper” author Scott McEwen. I’ll have more to follow in another post, but let me just say this- this Sunday, forget about the Super Bowl for even just a moment and raise your glasses in honor of Navy SEAL sniper Chris Kyle. Chris Kyle was killed one year ago Sunday.
