UPDATED POST
Montana Media Trackers just sent out this out via Twitter:
Schweitzer group’s address is a P.O. Box. Who was it that slammed ATP for “living in a post office box?” http://t.co/5LaVx13iSl #MTpol
— Media Trackers MT (@MediaTrackersMT) July 2, 2013
Here’s the full quote via KXLH.com:
Governor Brian Schweitzer (D) attended the rally and said, “ATP is not a person, not even close. They live in a post office box. It’s not possible that a corporation is a person. They don’t bleed. They don’t fight for our country. They can’t be a person. I have nothing against a corporation, it’s a collection of people. But it is not a person.”
INITIAL POST
In case you missed it, the Fox Business Network featured a report Monday morning by David Asman, who says a non-profit organization tied to former Governor Brian Schweitzer (D-MT) is skirting IRS rules on political activity. (*previous sentence slightly modified from original post*)
Asman zeroed in on a group called the Council for a Sustainable America, a PAC, which made a large contribution to a group called the American Sustainability Project.
We sent a reporter there to knock on the door- they’ve never heard of it.So we’re trying as best as we can to figure out who represents this organization- what they do- and as far as we can tell, all they do is hold cash for Brian Schweitzer.

The Montana GOP already seized on the video, shooting out this message via Twitter:

Wow, that’s FUNNY but it isn’t.
Constance Milstein? Who the heck is she and why is she SO concerned about “sustainability?” Oh, that’s right, sustaining Brian Schweitzer’s political agenda.

I’m assuming that this is an old video… as in, one that was recorded before it came out that Darrell Issa manipulated the Congressional investigation and ordered investigators to omit the fact that the IRS was targeting liberal and progressive groups (“Occupy” groups in particular) as well. Because, you know, that would be embarrassing if someone went on national television sometime within the last couple of days and sat there for several minutes parroting out of date talking points.
Just saying.

LJM- great to hear from you. Unfortunately- the scrutiny was not the same.
From WSJ:
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424127887324328204578571792307411074.html
On Thursday, Treasury Inspector General J. Russell George shot down the supposed gotcha moment. Mr. George explained in a letter that his report on IRS targeting had looked at all the criteria the IRS was using from May 2010 to May 2012 to identify political cases. His investigators “found no indication in any of these other materials that ‘Progressives’ was a term used to refer cases for scrutiny for political campaign intervention,” wrote Mr. George.
Mr. Levin’s confusion—we’re being generous—may have come from the fact that the word progressive does appear on a different BOLO, tagged as “Historical.” But that’s not the same “emerging issues” BOLO that the tea party groups were on, and it didn’t send applications through the same IRS route for additional scrutiny.
