As FoxNews.com reports- a growing list of Democrats are now calling for a delay in Obamacare: (not hearing anything from Montana’s US Senators)
Democrats are lining up to call for an ObamaCare extension, citing the crashed launch of the new health-insurance entitlement program. With Web site and phone-bank failures galore, shaky data and public outrage at the expensive bungle, moderate or potentially vulnerable Democrats like Sen. Mark Pryor, D-Ark., Joe Manchin, D-W.Va, Mary Landrieu, D-La., and Kay Hagan, D-N.C., are calling for a slowdown. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, D-N.H., has a bill that would leave open the enrollment period to obtain insurance before fines kick in. Manchin told Bill O’Reilly Wednesday that he was working on a bill with Sen. Johnny Isakson, R-Ga., to delay the so-called “individual mandate” for one year.
[In an early-October Fox News poll, 57 percent of respondents said all of ObamaCare should be delayed for a year until more details are ironed out.]
ED HENRY WANTS TO KNOW…
“With at least six Senate Democrats now wanting changes to the health law, how much longer until President Obama is forced to agree to make some tweaks? The White House is taking solace in fact that all those Democrats want to improve the law, not repeal it. But how many more Senate D’s up for re-election will add pressure and will that force a shift on the Holy Grail — the individual mandate?” – Chief White House Correspondent Ed Henry
After calling Republicans who pressed for a delay “suicide bombers,” where were all these Democratic Senators during the shutdown?
NBC News is reporting that the White House will back a 6 week delay, while The Hill notes that Sen. Joe Manchin, a Democrat of West Virginia,is backing GOP legislation:
Sen. Joe Manchin on Wednesday said he plans to back Republican legislation that would delay ObamaCare’s individual mandate to have insurance.
Manchin’s move comes as Sens. Mark Pryor (D-Ark.) said Wednesday the the Obama administration should extend the enrollment period for those looking to purchase healthcare due to the problems with the federal enrollment site. He joins Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.), who on Tuesday became the first Senate Democrat to join Republicans in asking for an extension.

Daily Caller: Obama plans six-week delay of Obamacare mandate
This would be a substantial reversal for the administration, which has fought all attempts by congressional Republicans to spare Americans from the mandate requiring all citizens to purchase health insurance or face a stiff penalty. Earlier this month, Obama allowed a partial government shutdown to go forward rather than compromise with Republicans on the penalty.
Given all of the problems with the Obamacare website, I think we’ve found the new Web Czar…and where the heck is Al Gore, the inventor of the Internet, when we need him?
Here’s more from The Daily Caller on HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius:
Sebelius oversaw numerous costly and disastrous government website projects during her six-year governorship (2003-2009), including a failed update of the Department of Labor’s program to provide unemployment pay and other services and similar updates pertaining to the Department of Administration and the state’s Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) services.
The Department of Labor’s overhaul of its computer programs was a notable boondoggle, according to 14-year former Kansas state senator and former state Labor Secretary Karin Brownlee.
Meanwhile, The Heritage Foundation’s Sarah Torre writes in The Chicago Tribune that taxpayer funded abortions will happen under Obamacare:
For decades, Americans have agreed that whatever one personally thinks about the controversial procedure Congress shouldn’t entangle tax dollars in providing abortions. Policies prohibiting federal funding for elective abortion or abortion coverage have been enacted almost every year since the mid-1970s.
Polls show a majority of Americans consistently agrees with such policies. Yet, when a divided Congress passed the Affordable Care Act in 2010, it failed to apply those longstanding prohibitions to the massive law, popularly known as Obamacare.
Taxpayers now will foot the bill for federal subsidies for the purchase of health plans on the exchanges that went live online Oct. 1, and some of those plans could cover elective abortion.

The Democrats up for re-election are getting an earful from back home I spect. Most, like our own senator Baucus can read the tea-leaves. Ah, no pun intended.
Obamacare is not popular. Many will soon find out it will prove more expensive than what they now have, and, based on the difficulty to get on board, so far looks to be, as Max put it, a train wreck.
Once again the president broke his own law by now allowing a six week delay of the mandate. How he can pick and choose what part of the law is to be enforced without the approval of congress? It’s beyond me. What else is he capable of doing on his own. If you think on it very long, it gets scary!
He feels free to do as he pleases and yet would not take up his pen during the shutdown to sign an order ensuring death benefits to the families of son’s and daughters who had gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Of course he did, finally, but not before he was prompted by a nationwide outcry.
These things should give one pause to consider what kind of man now sits in the oval office who seemingly makes decisons based on politics, not for the good of the country or its people.
