BOZEMAN, Mont. – Representative Steve Daines today announced that his campaign for U.S. Senate raised more than $1 million, with support coming from each of Montana’s counties, during the final fundraising quarter of 2013.
Daines also announced that his campaign stands with nearly $2 million cash on hand to begin the 2014 election year. This is Daines’ first fundraising report since announcing his candidacy for U.S. Senate in November.
“Cindy and I are humbled by encouragement we’ve received since announcing our campaign for U.S. Senate, and are excited to have supporters in every county in Montana,” Daines stated. “As I travel across our state, Montanans continue to share that to get our country back on track, we need to bring real change to Washington and work toward solutions that grow our economy, stop Washington’s reckless spending and protect Montanans from Obamacare. As Montana’s Senator, I will continue working to bring Montana solutions to Washington and put Montana first.”
Daines will report nearly $1,037,000 raised for the fourth quarter, with $1,901,000 cash on hand.
Daines announced his candidacy for Montana’s open Senate seat on November 6, 2013. A fifth-generation Montanan, sportsman and father of four, Daines currently serves Montana in the U.S. House of Representatives.
