Given the headlines concerning the challenges facing the nuclear missile command here in Montana and the nation, The Duffel Blog- a military satire website had this hilarious headline: Hagel Caught Cheating On Defense Secretary Proficiency Exam

Defense officials are in damage-control mode following the revelation from the Inspector General’s office that Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel allegedly cheated on his annual proficiency exam.
The test’s final section, focusing on invading foreign countries, destroying their infrastructure then rebuilding it and creating a stable democracy, is arguably the hardest. So tough in fact that former secretaries Gates and Rumsfeld failed the section entirely.

That was, of course, satire. On a more serious note, The Hill has this: Hagel fears deep ethical problem in the military

Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel is worried about a growing ethics problem within the military, following recent revelations that about 100 Air Force nuclear missileers and 30 Navy nuclear reactor operators cheated on qualification tests.
“This issue has his full attention, and it’s fair to say he’s deeply troubled by it,” said Pentagon spokesman Rear Adm. John Kirby at a Pentagon briefing on Wednesday.

On an even more serious note, is Iraq gone? This is from Fox News First Thursday morning: BOMBS ROCK BAGHDAD

AP: “A string of car bomb attacks hit commercial areas in Baghdad on Thursday, killing at least 13 people, said Iraqi officials… The bombings came a day after 34 people were killed in multiple explosions, mainly in the heart of Baghdad.”
‘Iraq is gone’ – “I don’t need a big hearing to figure this one out. You had millions of Americans serve. You had Americans die… It’s very simple. We’re not there anymore and we left too quickly with no leave-behind force. The Obama administration failed and now you have the disaster. Iraq is gone.” – Rep. Duncan Hunter, R-Calif., on “The Kelly File”
