“What’s interesting is not that we are going to have a treaty with Iran, it’s going to tip the balance away from the Saudis and the Egyptians to the Persians, the enemies for the last 3,000 years to the Arabs,” he said, pointing out that he had lived in the Middle East for seven years. “Big changes are happening in the Middle East. If we cozy up to Iran, we are not going to need Saudis anymore. We will be energy independent.”

Former Montana Governor Brian Schweitzer called President Obama a “corporatist,” pointing to Obamacare as proof.

“[W]e’ve had five years of Obama, which I would argue in many cases, he has been corporatist,” he explained on MSNBC on Saturday. “The health care bill that was written by the insurance companies and the pharmaceutical companies and the medical device companies.”

When former Montana governor Brian Schweitzer announced in July that he wasn’t running for Senate next year, he told the Associated Press, “I love Montana. I want to be here.” Now Mr. Schweitzer, who became a businessman after leaving office, is indicating that he’d like go to Washington after all, just not as a senator.

Asked over the weekend if he was running for president in 2016, the colorful Democrat told MSNBC, “Well, I’ll just say that there’s around 100 counties in Iowa. You know, on my bucket list is to try and make it to all the counties of Iowa someday.”

Mr. Schweitzer’s latest White House intimations follow remarks he made to Real Clear Politics last month. “The people of Iowa are a whole lot like the people of Montana. And, of course, New Hampshire’s a lot like Montana. We don’t have a sales tax. ‘Live Free or Die’—we understand that notion in Montana,” he said, adding that he wouldn’t necessarily let a Hillary Clinton presidential bid deter him.

That (thankfully) former Governor is obviously barking mad, and should not be allowed anywhere near any form of American governmental power.
