The last time we recall the Chairman of the US Senate Finance Committee, Senator Max Baucus (D-MT), speaking to Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius in a high-profile engagement, he uttered his infamous “train wreck” remarks.

Next week, Senator Baucus will have Secretary Sebelius before his committee again.  What does he want to ask her this time? “OK, you didn’t tell us last time about the problems, so tell us this time.  What are the problems?  We want to hear it straight.” Baucus also said he’s disappointed that earlier discussions with Secretary Sebelius were not as forthcoming.

That’s what Baucus told Newstalk 730 KYYA’s Scott Fredricks during a phone interview in Billings, Montana.

As for the penalties that await Americans, forced to purchase insurance with a federal website that doesn’t even work, Baucus now says he is open to delaying the penalties.  “If it looks like Humpty Dumpty’s not getting put back better together…then maybe we should look at start thinking about delaying the penalties. It’s not right to penalize people for mistakes that the government’s made because the exchanges aren’t working.”

Earlier this week, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) attempted to delay Obamacare until the website is fixed.  That effort was blocked by Senator Baucus.  Baucus called a full delay “premature.”

As usual, our “winning pair”, ‘ol Engineer Max of ‘ol 94 and good ‘ol Flat top….want it (anything) BOTH WAYS!
Don’t allow anything GOP to be considered or even voted on, while claiming they hold the high ground – even though infested with rattle snakes and fools!
Personally, I don’t care which side writes the dang delay bill, just so it gets into dingy harry’s hopper and voted on soonest.
Otherwise, we’ll be forced to remove all taxation from ourselves and re-state our Constitution for all to hear “around the world”.

Looks to me enforcing Obamacare is not being done in a manner in compliance with the law.

How can the president pick and choose which parts of the entire law will be suspended for certain groups?

The law should be enforced as a whole for all citizens, congress, unions, friends of the president, or not enforced at all.

We were lied to about the effects and provisions of this law by the president and his party. Thousands who are now loing their insurance are finding out the full extent of the lie.

One cannot begin to imagine the anger and pain across the nation Obamacare is going to inflict.

It is a gloomy day for freedom in America.
