It’s a rush to the front of the line in Wyoming when it comes to standing with Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX).

RedState.com has this:

Within hours of Liz Cheney, now a candidate for the Senate in Wyoming, announcing her support of Ted Cruz’s filibuster, Senator Mike Enzi, who Cheney is primarying, took to the floor of the United States Senate and declared he stood with Ted Cruz.

Pat Roberts, the elderly Senator from Kansas who may soon be getting a stiff primary challenge, stiffly stood on the floor of the United States Senate to show he too stood with Ted Cruz.

Rand Paul, after NBC News reported he may disagree with Cruz’s filibuster threat, went to the floor of the Senate and stood with Ted Cruz.

What about potential Senate candidates?  AllahPundit has this for HotAir.com:

Nearly every Republican candidate running for Senate in 2014 backs the GOP’s push to use the threat of a government shutdown to defund ObamaCare — a sign of how popular they believe the plan is with conservative primary voters…

Reps. Tom Cotton (Ark.), Paul Broun (Ga.), Phil Gingrey (Ga.), Jack Kingston (RGa.), Bill Cassidy (R-La.), likely candidate Steve Daines (Mont.), and Shelley Moore Capito (W.Va.) all voted Friday for a House continuing resolution to fund the government until mid-December while defunding ObamaCare…

Getting back to the US Senate race in Wyoming, The Casper Star-Tribune asks, Did Lynne Cheney tell Alan Simpson ‘shut your mouth?

Lynne Cheney, wife of former Vice President Dick Cheney and mother of U.S. Senate candidate Liz Cheney, on Saturday night told former U.S. Sen. Alan Simpson “shut your mouth” about his support for her daughter’s opponent, according to an online account by Simpson’s daughter-in-law.

Deb Simpson, when contacted by the Star-Tribune, declined to comment further. She referred the reporter to her Facebook post. The post was no longer public by Monday afternoon.

The Cheney campaign denied those were Lynne Cheney’s words Monday afternoon.

However, Simpson himself had this to say, according to The Huffington Post:

“I was surprised at her intensity,” Simpson said. “It was eyes-flashing and pretty intense.”

Simpson said he explained to Cheney that he has a history with Enzi that goes back decades — and that, in fact, Simpson is the reason Enzi is in public life at all.

“I am unqualified in my support of Mike Enzi, but it’s not about Liz Cheney for God’s sake,” he told The Huffington Post on Tuesday. “It’s about the fact that I’m the guy who talked Mike Enzi into running for public office. I met him when he was the president of the Wyoming Jaycees. I explained that to Lynne but she didn’t seem to listen.”
