Are Democrats already giving up on gaining control of the US House?

Just two months ago, Democratic National Committee chair Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz insisted — repeatedly — that House Democrats would run on ObamaCare and win back control of the chamber. Just a day after Barack Obama himself defended ObamaCare in the State of the Union speech, they’re singing a different tune. Donors and strategists will move resources away from House races and instead focus on trying to salvage control of the Senate.
Politico Playbook: 2014 STRATEGY — “Democrats: Cede the House to save the Senate”
“With Democrats’ grasp on the Senate increasingly tenuous – and the House all but beyond reach – some top party donors and strategists are moving to do something in the midterm election as painful as it is coldblooded: Admit the House can’t be won and go all in to save the Senate. … The triage idea is taking hold in phone conversations among donors and in strategy sessions between party operatives. Even some of the people who have invested the most to get House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi back into the speaker’s chair are moving in that direction. … The shift comes as House Democrats are raking in big money for the midterms, outperforming both Senate Democrats and their House GOP counterparts.” http://goo.gl/DtI2tp

3 DAYS TO SUPER BOWL – AP “It appears MetLife Stadium won’t be covered in snow … It’ll still be plenty cold on Sunday, but the bone-chilling temperatures many were concerned about might not be too much of a worry … Sunday’s high temperature is expected to be 38 degrees — which would make it the coldest of the 48 Super Bowls. With the opening kickoff scheduled for about 6:30 p.m., the mercury could drop into the 20s by the time the game ends.”
Fox News First:
She just couldn’t make it work – Wisconsin Public Radio: “Governor Scott Walker will meet President Obama when the president visits Wisconsin… but Walker’s Democratic challenger, Mary Burke, will be out of town… a spokesman for Burke said she would not meet personally with the President, citing a full day of campaigning scheduled for western Wisconsin.”
Dean not keen on Iran deal – Washington Free Beacon: “Former Democratic presidential candidate Howard Dean spoke out against the Obama administration’s nuclear negotiations with Iran at a Capitol Hill briefing hosted by a controversial Iranian dissident group on Wednesday.”

Having voted for JFK, this old fella been around a while. Seen some questionable political tricks in my time, some funny, some not.
I’ll be surprised if the democrats can hold the Senate unless underhanded tactics are employed. Personally, I look at the Baucus deal as a possible example…I do hope I’m wrong.
