Apparently growing up in the state, and being the great-great grandson of homesteaders isn’t enough to be considered a Montanan. At least that’s according to the out-of-staters running appointed Sen. John Walsh’s (D-MT) campaign. They’ve now become, you guessed it, full-fledged birthers.
Bill Murphy with the NRSC posted this:
Walsh and the DSCC are so desperate, they have gone full birther in their campaign against Steve Daines. This is not a joke.
The Montana Democratic Party is calling on Steve Daines, a Republican congressman running for Senate, to release his birth certificate.
The unusual request, typically the province of birthers on the right who question where President Barack Obama was born, comes as Daines has regularly been describing himself as a “fifth-generation Montanan” in commercials, press releases and on the stump.
Murphy added, “Things are that bad in Montana. Here’s the next 10 conspiracies John Walsh is working on.” Click here for the full list.
That’s right, Walsh supported cuts to military pay/pensions, and his campaign’s brilliant response: show us your birth certificate. This juvenile, this early?
Politico added: Dems want Mont. politician’s birth certificate
A spokeswoman said Daines’ great-great grandmother is buried in Conrad, Mont., and that Daines’ parents moved to California for a job just before he was born. They returned to the Big Sky State when he was a small child.
