The campaign for Republican US House candidate Corey Stapleton (R-Billings) is touting the results of a new poll showing the candidate with a double digit lead over his opponents in the GOP primary. That same poll by Democratic polling firm PPP also shows every House candidate leading Democrat John Lewis, a career staffer to Sen. Max Baucus (D-MT).
From the Stapleton campaign:
In case you missed it, the latest survey of Montana voters shows Corey Stapleton leading the US House race in primary and general contests. Democrat polling firm PPP showed Stapleton holding a double digit lead over Republican primary opponents. 32% of GOP primary voters prefer Stapleton compared to opponents Brad Johnson (20%), Ryan Zinke (9%), and Matthew Rosendale (9%).
PRIOR POST
New polling data out from a Democratic-leaning pollster shows newcomer Congressman Steve Daines (R-MT) with a healthy lead over all potential Democratic challengers. Meanwhile, a potential Republican primary opponent only draws 7% in a potential matchup with Daines. (Edmunds will say later this week if he will run for the House or the Senate)
