“In a result most political observers expected,” The Great Falls Tribune reports, “Attorney General Steve Bullock on Tuesday cruised to the Democratic Party’s nomination for governor where he’ll face former Montana GOP congressman Rick Hill in the 2012 general election.”
Despite a hard-fought primary election, Gubernatorial candidate Rick Hill’s primary opponents are lining up behind his campaign for governor.
Former State Senator Corey Stapleton, who launched an aggressive ad campaign in the final days before the primary election against Rick Hill, told me on Wednesday afternoon that he is endorsing Rick Hill over Democrat Steve Bullock in the general election.
Brock Lowrance, Rick Hill’s campaign manager, told me former State Senator Ken Miller also offered his support on Wednesday morning.
As Montana Media Trackers notes, two other gubernatorial candidates, Jim O’Hara and Neil Livingstone, stressed their early support for Hill. Livingstone personally travelled over to Rick Hill’s campaign party on election night to endorse Rick Hill.
